Building a funding profile

Each learner or student have a responsibility to perform well academically to increase their chances of obtaining future funding. A good academic record increases your chances of getting funding from an organisation. Good academic performance increases your chances of future funding for your tertiary education. Poor performance limits chances of getting funding. Organisations reserve the right to look at current performance to determine return on investment. It is advised that a learner or student seeks necessary assistance should they be faced with challenges that might negatively affect their academic performance.

Students should ensure that they apply for different kinds of funding and funding opportunities to increase the chance of getting funding and to have a clear understanding of what funders are looking for.

Maintaining a good academic performance

  • Prioritise your studies by regular class or lecture attendance. This determines examination readiness.
  • Always reflect on your progress and take corrective or improvement measures.
